My experience of sitting on a diet is such that I rarely resort to this self-torture method voluntarily. If not for a "but": I've personally seen results from sitting on the "Japanese" diet for two weeks. Just like in the magazine: "before" and "after". Still, the principle of beauty and health perhaps works best.

I must say that I admire the courage of people who can feel the weight loss recipe found on the Internet and immediately try it on themselves. I myself am wary of diets. Life brought me together with them twice.

"Her fears about my hypothetically increasing infertility did not come true. During the first two days, the body was put under pressure by the sudden disappearance of normal food from his life. And realizing that it was a long time, but not forever, he became silent and indifferent.

Charm and disappointment

As with any experiment I have done on myself, I have accumulated a list of temptations and disappointments. More precisely, the discomfort and pleasure of diet.

Discomfort #1

The diet is strict. Because, according to its authors, it is designed to alter metabolism. Therefore, the slightest deviation from the course (even a crouton, even an apple) - and the expected effect is not guaranteed. And this is what is expected: separation by 5 - 8 kilograms and stabilization of weight in the future.

Discomfort #2

It's hard to come to a business dinner and flirtly ask me for two boiled eggs and 200 grams of grated carrots. Often such requests remain unfulfilled. Therefore, you will need to carry all your supplies in your bag. And most likely, prepare diet meals the day before.

In general, it is better not to start a strict diet if at least half of the foods it contains bothers you. And since I ate fish, boiled beef, carrots and kefir and cabbage with great enthusiasm and "in normal life", it was frankly cheerful to see them on my table.

Many people ask questions about drinking coffee every morning - isn't it harmful? If you have heart problems or high blood pressure, coffee can have a negative effect. And before starting a Japanese diet, it is worth consulting with your doctor.

A full spectrum of sensations

During the first two days of the diet, a vision haunted me: As soon as I closed my eyes, a finely baked pancake that spontaneously rolled into a tube appeared before my inner gaze. Then someone gently dipped it in strawberry jam and brought it to my face. There were no olfactory hallucinations. After chasing me for two days, the pancakes are behind me.

A stony indifference and calm attitude towards culinary delights emerged, which continues to this day. This doesn't mean that if I'm offered to try something delicious, I will refuse it harshly. But nervous tremors caused by the fact that "there is a lot of food there" are no longer observed.

I didn't shed much - only 4 pounds, but the weight is not regaining it. I do not know who to thank for this: the developers of the Japanese diet, or myself - for exercising twice a week. The only detail: you noticeably lose weight during the diet and towards the end it becomes problematic to open an unopened bottle of mineral water. But then power is quickly restored.
